Mist bloomed thick behind the window. It was as if the passing scenery outside didnt exist. A similar mist had enshrouded my mind ever since I left my childhood home.
My mom and dad broke apart only recently. Two years may not seem that recent, but the wound is still as raw. I stayed with Mom and my dad disappeared, only making himself known to me again when he had something to boast about in front of my mother. He had been accepted at a big job in a small town.
