That's true, don't you think that there have been so many moral tales (Beauty and the Beast etc) that advocate that value, to the point that it's become a cliche, that people would have become humbled by it? Instead people justify their behaviour by saying they're slaves to their instincts. It's natural, it's procreation. Do you think there's a sort of paradox in that as a society we're supposed to be moving on, since we as a species are supposed to have reason and morals, yet so many people want to stay just as they were created? (gah long sentence overload, hope you got all that).
Ooh also, the 'sex sells' thing is heavily post-feminist (ie it's seen as empowering that women flash their juggs at men). Maybe I should do a Token Feminist where she's anti-third wave
Also have you heard Girl Poison by Angelspit? That's a great song that addresses this topic.

Of course, I agree with you here. It's ironic how the younger generation views morality and manners as 'old' and not up-with-the-times, when really, behaving like animals is the very first thing humanity has done, and precisely what humanity is falling back to. (I hope that sentence made sense..
