God I hated the 6th form, thank God that's over. Next, hopefully, I'll get into the University of Lancaster. So that leaves the large gulf between now and October.

I thought I'd try my hand at 3d modelling, since Autodesk are offering a free personal learning edition of Maya for n00bs like me. Yay. I'd love to animate an apocalyptic dragon scene...

I saw dead people... literally, at the BodyWorlds exhibition yesterday. It was interesting... but whenever you walked past one of the corpses they wobbled. It made me shudder, especially with the skeletons. Hopefully seeing all the muscles underneath the skin will help me with anatomy in future drawings.

Finished The Great Gatsby! It's a great book, and only short, so definitely read it if you see it anywhere.

Damnit I am so glad for a 4-day weekend (= no stress and as mush procrastinating as humanly possible). And I can get stuck in to long portraits without worrying about my damned essays. I've had about seven in a fortnight, and one of them was a thousand words.

Ah well, it's paying off in some respects: a couple of weeks ago I got full marks in an English Lit essay on Dr. Faustus + unseen text; my media teacher gave me an A for my 3000-word coursework,; and I got an A in an editorial writing practise.

I need an A in Lit if I'm going to get on the course I want to study at Lancaster Uni. I really am working my arse off. *Another note to self: read about Renaissance on Wikipedia*.

Watched T2 the other day. Forgot how much I loved it. And Linda Hamilton!! THANK YOU to the writers for making Sarah Connor a butch herione. I just get the impression that a lot of ladies in modern cinema wouldn't be able to handle a T-1000 as well as her because they're too busy being assigned names like Stephanie Broadchest.

Should be drawing Linda Hamilton next. I figure I should start drawing more people I admire.

Spent virtually my whole holiday learning how to emulate Saturn and Dreamcast games (i.e. play them on my laptop). It's AWESOME.
